Door-to-door. With a familiar, trusted face.

Safe Senior Transportation

Losing the ability to drive doesn't mean losing your independence. Our transportation service provides safe, accompanied rides with a friendly face who stays with your loved one from door to door.

What is Transportation Assistance?

Our Transportation Assistance program is more than a ride — it's an accompanied journey. Unlike rideshare services or medical transport vans, our team members stay with your loved one the entire time. We drive them to the appointment, walk them inside, wait with them, help them understand instructions from the doctor, and bring them home safely. It's transportation with a personal touch, designed for seniors who need a trusted companion along the way.

Ideal For

Seniors who have recently stopped driving, those who need accompaniment to medical appointments, individuals who feel anxious or unsafe using rideshare services, seniors who want to maintain social outings and community activities, and families who need reliable, consistent transportation for a loved one.

How It Works

Getting started is simple. Here's what to expect.

01

Schedule Your Ride

Call us or book online. We accommodate recurring schedules (e.g., every Tuesday at 10am) and one-time appointments. 48-hour notice preferred, but we do our best with same-day requests.

02

Door-to-Door Pickup

Your team member arrives at the door — not the curb. They help with coats, bags, walker, wheelchair, or anything else needed. They drive a clean, comfortable vehicle.

03

Wait-With Support

We don't drop off and leave. Your companion walks your loved one inside, stays during the appointment (if desired), takes notes on doctor instructions, and ensures nothing is missed.

04

Safe Return Home

After the appointment, we drive your loved one home, help them inside, and make sure they're settled. We can even stop for prescriptions, lunch, or errands on the way.

What Families Say About Transportation Assistance

My husband has dialysis three times a week. The same team member drives him every time. They know his routine, his music preferences, even which entrance to use at the clinic. It's become part of his week.

Margaret W.

Schenectady, NY

After my father's fall, he was afraid to go to appointments alone. His Caring Angels driver stays with him the whole time, takes notes from the doctor, and brings him home safely. We couldn't manage without this.

Robert M.

Saratoga Springs, NY

My mom stopped going to church after she couldn't drive anymore. Now her Caring Angels companion takes her every Sunday. She's reconnected with her community and it's made such a difference in her happiness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our Transportation Assistance.

How is this different from Uber or Lyft?

Our service includes a consistent, familiar team member who is background-checked and trained in senior care. They walk your loved one to the door, stay during appointments, take notes, and provide companionship. It's not just a ride — it's accompanied transportation with a personal relationship.

Can you accommodate a wheelchair or walker?

Yes. Our team members are trained to assist with walkers, folding wheelchairs, and other mobility aids. Please let us know about any mobility needs when scheduling so we can ensure the right vehicle and support.

What if the appointment runs long?

We stay as long as needed. We don't rush your loved one or leave them waiting. If an appointment takes longer than expected, we adjust accordingly. Your loved one's comfort and safety come first.

Can you set up a recurring weekly schedule?

Absolutely. Many of our clients have recurring appointments — dialysis, physical therapy, weekly grocery shopping, Sunday church. We set up a regular schedule with the same team member for consistency.

Is there a mileage limit or service area boundary?

We serve the entire Capital Region including Albany, Troy, Schenectady, Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, Colonie, Latham, Cohoes, and Watervliet. For destinations outside this area, please contact us for availability.

What about after-hours or weekend appointments?

We offer transportation 7 days a week. Evening and weekend appointments are available. Special occasion transportation (family dinners, weddings, holidays) can be arranged with advance notice.
